Landscapes are one of the greatest ways to learn the art of painting as they encompass many elements and principles of painting in one design. While landscapes may seem intimidating, we practice many techniques that simplify this art such as adding texture, creating focal points, illusion in numbers, subtle variations, and building of values. 

Historically, geographical exploration meant big things for art. Explorers used art to document places they had visited with expert detail to capture scenes they had witnessed in order to share them with people back home. Despite efforts to portray objective light on these places, even the most skillfully executed landscape pieces, will always have a hint of  political, social or cultural significance depending on the artist creating it.
