Insects play an integral role in the well being of our planet. From pollinating plants, including food crops to decomposers of waste and the food chain, they are a vital part of our eco systems. With many millions of insect species and only about a million of which have been named, you can imagine the various possibilities of bugs that can be incorporated into art. Many artists hope their work with insects will raise awareness of the important roles these creatures play and reexamine our impact on them.
